3 woodcuts in dark green on Simili Japan paper, 9,8 x 4,2 cm / 5,8 x 3,9 cm / 8,3 x 3,1 cm (blocks), 27,8 x 37,9 cm (sheet). Inscribed in pencil lower right by another hand "M. Denis". Stamped number "63" on verso. From the portfolio "L'Epreuve" (No 11/12, December 1895). One of 200 impressions of the regular edition. Reference: Cailler 13, 17, 35; Bonafous-Murat 306 (there titled "Trois petits bois pour Sagesse"). Although the edition of the portfolio was not particularly small, this print is very rare on the market.
