Artist's book in the style of a Japanese block book (with stitching holes but without cord binding). 19.5 x 16 cm. 1922.
8 unnumbered sheets of brownish, handmade, cloudy paper (identical to the paper used for Carry Hauser's "Book of Dreams"), bound in black-brown cardboard. 9 woodcuts incl. title and imprint. All woodcuts fully signed in pencil "G. Ph. Wörlen". The imprint hand-numbered "10". Front flyleaf inscribed in pencil (by another hand?) "G. Ph. Wörlen | Das Erleben des Waldes | 1922".
Very rare document of the artist group "Der Fels", to which Franz Bronstert, Fritz Fuhrken, Reinhard Hilker and Carry Hauser belonged in addition to Georg Philipp Wörlen.
