Andy WARHOL - Sidewalk (FS II.304)

Sidewalk displays celebrity handprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by Cary Grant, Judy Garland, Jack Nicholson, and Shirley Temple. The Walk of Fame was created to “maintain the glory of a community whose name means glamour and excitement in the four corners of the world.” Warhol created Sidewalk to capture one of the many ways celebrities are memorialized. This beautiful impression had never been exposed to light and is one of the brightest impressions on record.
