Oramas was born in Mexico City in 1948 and died in Coyoacan, Mexico DF in 2005. He exhibited in various galleries locally and internationally. Oramas had ventured into several techniques: drawings (pen), highly detailed ink drawings colored oils and also on other surfaces. In the last 15 years of his life, he delved with great talent in oil on mahogany and oil on canvas in large sizes. Oramas style can be called slightly surreal. His compositions involve faces and human figures.
Oramas has exhibited his work extensively in Mexico. In the international art scene he had major exhibitions in Belgium, the United States and Canada.
