Marcoussis apparently based this portrait on a photograph taken in 1900, when the artist was 22 years old.
An outstanding impression on fine Arches wove paper.
In excellent condition.
Milet (87) cites one impression of the "first" state (later than the proof we offer) and four impressions of the second. She postulates a third state, but finds no evidence that it was ever printed.
