Kosonaga Chojo (The Princess and the Herd Boy) - The romantic legend of two lovers separated by the Milky Way.

Known in Japan as Tanabata, this celestial romance tells of two stars — Vega and Altair — allowed to meet only once a year. Dalí’s interpretation fuses cosmic and emotional imagery: flowing forms resembling constellations and rivers of light symbolize longing and reunion. The scene reflects Dalí’s recurring interest in time, cycles, and desire — the eternal return of separated lovers. The poetic delicacy of line and the harmony of color evoke both the melancholy and beauty of distance.
