Warhol created (4) versions of the Cow imagery throughout the 1960s and 1970s, each time for different exhibitions he was putting on. Warhol was known for covering whole walls with the repetitive images, and this became a cornerstone of his larger museum and gallery shows. The Cows are screenprints on wallpaper, and many have been destroyed over the years, as they were torn of walls. All the ones we have for sale are in original condition, and were set aside during the shows, and not pasted. These works are quite large at 45 1/2 x 29 3/4 inches, and are great additions to any collection.
