James ROSENQUIST - Violent Turn

Encoded with complex messages about our culture, science and technology, and the artist’s social and political concerns, Violent Turn by James Rosenquist is a large, bold and remarkable original lithograph, created by the artist in 1977.  The artwork is hand-signed, titled, dated and numbered in pencil, measures 36 3/4 x 73 3/4 in (93 x 187 cm), unframed and is one of three designated shop proofs. Outside of the edition of 100.  In the permanent collections of museums including SF MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Princeton Art Museum and others, this artwork is designated as G. 127 in the artist’s catalogue raisonne.
