In 1934, the renowned Spanish artist Joan Miró made two surrealist pochoir prints for the esteemed magazine "Cahiers d'Art." The composition, emblematic of Miró's distinctive surrealist style, showcase his innovative approach to blending abstract forms with symbolic imagery. Through vibrant colours, whimsical shapes, and dreamlike figures, Miró imbues his prints with a sense of mystery and intrigue, inviting viewers into his imaginative realm. With a keen eye for juxtaposition and a penchant for the unexpected, Miró's surrealiste pochoir prints challange conventional notions of reality and inviting contemplation on the nature of the subconscious mind.
The exact edition size is unknown, but it is very rare to find such fine impressions with unfaded colors. The image is one of the most famous compositions of this early Miró period.
