A GREAT RARITY.
In 1967 Miró executed a series of lithographs to illustrate his poem "Le lézard aux plumes d'or".
For technical reasons, Miró decided to destroy the lithographs. Meanwhile the stones had deteriorated and couldn't be reprinted.
In 1971 he executed a set of completely different lithographs and the project came to fruition as a wonderful livre de peintre.
THIS IS ONE OF THE RARE SURVIVING PROOFS OF THE ORGINAL 1967 SERIES.
Printed on extremely fine wove paper, with full margins.
In perfect condition.
