Among the earliest of all abstract prints, executed by Kandinsky in 1911 for Klänge (published in 1913).
This is a proof before the edition of 1200 printed in 1938 for XXe Siècle. Unlike most of the edition, it was never bound and thus has full margins.
Printed on very good wove paper.
In perfect condition.
NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE REPRODUCTION PRINTED (also for XXe siècle) IN 1958-59, WHICH WAS NOT PRINTED FROM THE ORIGINAL BLOCK.
