Dorothea Tanning (1910-2012) painter, publisher, sculptor and writer was the muse and the wife of Max Ernst during 34 years.
They formed the ‘most extraordinary couple of surrealism’.
This work of art, special issue without subscription, published under the direction of Alain Jouffroy, is composed of 26 chapters.
It contains three original colour lithographs performed in homage to Dorothea Tanning by André Masson, Mata and Joan Miro as well as a poem by Joan Miro printed in lithography.
Two of these lithographs are foldable in two parts.
16 plates in colour out of text and 100 reproductions in black & white, in and out of text.

Condition: copy without dust jacket, but overall in very good condition.
Note: a few light traces on the covers (without wear)
with a ‘tab’ in paper under the 1st
